STABILIZED CHLORINE

Our tabs consist of stabilized chlorine, meaning they are protected from the sun’s damaging UV rays. This ensures the chlorine continues to do its job in the water rather than breaking down when exposed to sunlight.

For cleaner and safer water, each tab contains the highest amount of available chlorine which provides consistent sanitization by controlling algae, bacteria, and other microorganisms.

POWERFUL 90% AVAILABLE CHLORINE

Sanitization and disinfection is the most important aspect of good pool water chemistry, and powerful In The Swim 3 inch chlorine tablets are 90% available chlorine, and sun-stabilized, to make it easier to maintain any outdoor pool. Our chlorine tablets are made with 99% Trichlor, without fillers and binders found in cheaper tablets that dissolve too rapidly and gum-up a chlorine feeder.

NO FILLERS, BINDERS, OR GLUES

Ideal for chlorine floaters and automatic chemical feeders, our slow dissolving tabs are the highest quality and have absolutely no fillers, binders, glues, or additives like many others. These additives cause tabs to dissolve too rapidly and don’t provide a consistent distribution of chlorine. These fluctuating chlorine levels and inconsistent sanitization lead to quicker algae growth. Fillers, binders, glues, and other additives also increase the total dissolved solids in your water, which ultimately make the chemicals you use to maintain and treat your water less effective over time.

IDEAL SIZE FOR FLOATERS OR AUTOMATIC CHLORINATORS

In The Swim pool chlorine tablets are very effective and easy to use, but should not be put into the skimmer basket as doing so can cause potential damage to the pool equipment over time. Instead, place chlorine tablets into a chlorine floater or automatic chlorine feeder for convenient and reliable distribution. Use enough tablets to maintain a consistent chlorine level of at least 1.0 – 2.0 ppm, as verified by your pool test kit or strips. Each slow-dissolving chlorine puck adds approximately 5.5 ppm of chlorine per 10,000 gallons over several days. On average, most pools use about one 3 inch tablet for every 5,000 gallons of pool water, replaced every 5-7 days. Water temperature, water chemistry, pool usage and weather conditions can affect this amount.

DIRECTIONS

For best results, use an automatic chlorine feeder, or floating dispenser designed for this product, or place this product in the skimmer basket.
Do not allow this product to get damp or wet before use.
Do not allow this product to contact other water treatment products.
Do not use in a floaters or feeders that have been used with other dry chlorinating products.
If placed in a skimmer, run the pump a minimum of 8 hours daily.
Make sure skimmer is completely clean and free of residue from other water treatment products before putting this product in the skimmer.
Do not use with other tablets or sticks in the same skimmer, floater, or feeder.
Do not permit tablets to contact plastic pool linings or metal objects.
Do not throw tablets directly into pool.

WATER BALANCE

To provide optimum product performance, swimmer comfort and crystal clear water, always maintain pH from 7.2 to 7.6, total alkalinity from 80 to 120 ppm, and calcium hardness above 200 ppm. Test frequently using a reliable test kit that measures all these ranges. Make any necessary adjustments promptly with the appropriate products.

ROUTINE CHLORINATION:

For best results, see “Water Balance” section above before treatment.
Add four one-half ounce tablets per 10,000 gallons of pool water every day or as often as needed to maintain a chlorine residual at 1-4ppm. Follow “How To Use”.
Maintain water as stated in water balance.
The dosage may very depending upon bather load, water temperature and other conditions.
Pool should not be entered until the chlorine residual is 1-4 ppm as measured with a Poolife Test Kit.
As a preventative treatment, you should treat the pool with a Non Chlorine Shock product weekly to burn out organic material and to keep water sparkling clear.

SHOCK TREATMENT

In a case of alage growth, colored water, unpleasant odors, burning eyes, excess bather load, heavy rains and wind, or high temperatures, shock treat or super chlorinate with your preferred Poolife shock product.

ALGAE CONTROL

For preventative algae control, use your preferred Poolife algaecide product regularly.
