Do You Know the pool cleaning tablets? Pools Cleaning Best Friend!

As home swimming pools became popular, the need developed for a quick, easy way for the average person to add pool cleaning tablets to water quickly, easily, and without the hazard of coming in direct contact with dangerous chemicals. Chlorine tablets become a popular way of achieving that goal.

Do you know anything about chlorine tablets? As a pool cleaning tablet, its types 、 uses、Some Parameters, and more. Here will be the answer you want.

The absence of pool cleaning tablets in a pool can cause some potential dangers and problems:

Bacterial proliferation: Without sufficient disinfectants, bacteria, and pathogens have a higher chance of multiplying in the pool water. This can result in waterborne diseases such as pool herpes and respiratory infections.

Algae growth: Insufficient chlorine or disinfectants can cause rapid growth of algae in the pool. Algae can turn the water green and the slippery algae layer can pose a risk of slipping and discomfort.

Deterioration of water quality: Lack of proper disinfectants can lead to poor water quality in the pool. The water can become cloudy, unclear, develop odors, and may cause irritation to the eyes and skin.

Public health risks: In public swimming pools, the risk of bacterial and pathogen transmission increases without proper disinfection measures. This poses a potential threat to the health of all users.

What are the different kinds of the pool cleaning tablets?

These pool tablets come in two different sizes: one-inch and three-inch.

Which one you choose is ultimately up to you, but the three-inch tablets are #1 in our hearts because they are usually less expensive because you end up using fewer of them to clean your swimming pool.

In personal experience, the larger tablets are also easier to handle and add to the pool. And if you are the kind that frequently forgets to do the routine cleaning and maintenance checklist for your pool, a larger tablet is ideal.

chlorine tablets are stabilized chlorine, so you don’t want to use too many otherwise you’ll over-stabilize your pool and you’ll have to drain it.

How To Use pool cleaning Tablets

If you have a chlorine floater simply take the floater unscrew the lid put in the appropriate amount of tablets screw the lid back on place it in the pool.

If you have a chlorine feeder that sits on your equipment you’re going to want to put the pool in service mode to turn off the filter pump unscrew the lid on the chlorinator add the appropriate amount of tablets screw the lid back on ensure that your water flow gauge is set to the appropriate reading and then return the filter pump to normal circulation.

If you want to swim, to be in a safe zone it will be better if you wait for 3 to 5 hours till the chlorine levels touch 4 to 6 ppm.

Some Parameters To Be Aware Of

Cleaning is a preferential activity, as is vacuuming your house. The difference is a swimming pool is like a stagnant pond. Algae will form on the pool surfaces and take root in the tile grout.

For your pool to look good and be hygienic is a question of water chemistry.

PH

PH is a measure of how acidic or basic the water is.

If your testing (recommended daily) of the water shows a pH value below 7.0; the water is in a corrosive (acidic) condition and you will need to add a base to bring the pH into a more basic range to prevent corrosion. Conversely, if the pH is above 7.8, the water is in a scaling (basic) condition and must add an acid to bring down the pH to prevent the formation of scale or calcium deposits on our tile, in the filter, or even precipitation out of solution into a cloudy water condition.

Total Alkalinity

A close cousin of pH, the level of alkalinity in the water is a measurement of all carbonates, bicarbonates, hydroxides, and other alkaline substances found in the pool water.

A very important component of water balance, alkalinity is usually best in the 80-120 ppm range, but in some cases can be run outside of this range with little problem. Levels should be tested weekly. Follow the package label for treatment guidelines.

What Chlorine Content Should A Swimming Pool Have?

The chlorine level in an outside pool should be 7.5% of the CYA level. The CYA level should not exceed 50 ppm.

For the chlorine to work well, and the pool to look and feel great pay attention to the LSI – saturation index.
